Diploma Thesis and Summer Internship Positions
We are looking for highly motivated students to diploma thesis and summer internship positions in the Biohybrid Materials Group (Prof. Mauri Kostiainen). Our laboratory is situated on the main campus of Aalto University in Otaniemi within the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems and we are part of the Finnish Academy Center of Excellence (CoE) on Molecular Engineering of Biosynthetic Hybrid Materials (2014-2019). We offer a multidisciplinary research environment at the forefront of biomaterials science, newly renovated laboratory space and excellent equipment pool.
Diploma thesis / summer student projects:
- Several topics related to the group’s research interests (e.g. Injectable Polymer Hydrogels for Tissue Repair, DNA Origami Nanostructures, Metallized Lignin Nanoparticles) are available.
- It is possible to combine summer and diploma thesis projects.
As a successful applicant you should be highly motivated in experimental science and have a background in chemical technology, biosciences, physics or a closely related field.
